A MESSAGE FROM THE ORGANIZATION
Speaking on the outcome of the audition, the Co-Owner and Chief Executive Officer of the project, Ambassador Deji Bakare, explained why the competition will initially feature 15 Local Government representatives instead of all 20.
«“Our vision is to eventually have all 20 Local Government Areas of Ogun State fully represented. However, for this season, we decided to move forward with 15 Local Governments because some areas did not show sufficient interest or engagement with the vision of the project, while some contestants did not meet the required selection criteria.”»
«“We believe this is only the beginning. As the project continues to grow and more seasons and activities are introduced, we will continue to engage the remaining Local Governments and work towards achieving complete representation of all 20 LGAs of Ogun State.”»
Ambassador Bakare further emphasized that MBGO is designed to be more than a beauty competition.
«“We are building a platform that will give young women an opportunity to develop themselves, represent their communities, promote Ogun State’s culture and heritage, and participate in meaningful projects that can impact their communities.”»
MORE THAN A BEAUTY COMPETITION
Following the successful audition, the selected contestants will begin a series of developmental activities leading up to the competition.
The contestants will be exposed to different categories of training and assignments, including personal development, public speaking, modelling, cultural representation, community engagement, talent development and purpose-driven projects.
As part of the journey, contestants will also undertake pet projects and community-focused activities before proceeding to the official camp and competition stages.
The organizers believe that every contestant should leave the platform with more than a crown they should leave with confidence, knowledge, experience and a stronger sense of purpose.
NOVEMBER 2026 COMPETITION
The next major phase of the MBGO project will be a competition scheduled for November 2026.
The official date, venue details and competition programme will be unveiled through the organization’s official communication channels in the coming weeks.
The organizers encourage the public, media, sponsors, partners and supporters to stay connected as the contestants begin their journey towards the crown.
