Moris Monye, one of the leading leaders of obidient movement and staunch supporter of Peter Obi backtracked from supporting him, says he is too self centered, lists reasons:
“Mr. Peter Obi has never asked what we are doing in mobilization. Nothing of such. No communication. Nothing.

Ah! The confession of a wounded disciple. This merely reaffirms what the Progressives have echoed since 2022 – that the only person who truly matters to Obi is Peter, and the only person who truly matters to Peter is Gregory. His world begins and ends at the mirror’s edge. Every other being is an afterthought: his wife – secondary, his daughters – secondary, his Obidients – utterly dispensable. It’s almost poetic that it took Monye over three long years of blind service to stumble upon a truth so glaring it could blind the naïve.
THE DEFEAT AT ANAMBRA – A DAGGER TO THE HEART OF OBI
“The poor showing at the Anambra Election has also made my position untenable.”
While Sarah and her band of digital jesters keep blowing the trumpet of denial, those who truly invested their sweat and treasure know that the defeat in Anambra was not a stumble – it was an amputation. Never in Nigeria’s political history has a supposed “leader” been so disgracefully disowned by his own kinsmen. And that, my friends, is not to br mistaken as the fall of a lion, No Sir! – it is the crawling of a lizard that once fancied itself a panther.
PETER CAN NO LONGER RIDE ON PAST GLORY
“You can’t run a campaign simply from general goodwill. This is not 2023. The element of surprise is gone.”
The Leicester City miracle of 2015/16 happens only once in a century. Nature occasionally smiles upon the undeserving – but never twice. Had Leicester squandered that divine windfall, they’d still be chasing shadows.
Peter, too, was gifted that once-in-a-lifetime breeze of providence in 2023, yet he fumbled it with arrogance and amateurism. Unless he plans to live another hundred years, the gates of such fortune have long shut behind him.
PETER IS AN UNSERIOUS POLITICIAN
“Mr. Obi needs to show more interest in what the movement is doing.”
Interest? You cannot pour from an empty vessel – and Peter’s cup has long run dry. True leaders do not stumble into greatness; they are born of vision, tempered by fire, and refined by purpose. Mediocres, however, are mass-produced in their millions – with Peter being the factory prototype.
He has already exhausted the little spark within his frail capacity. So please, let the old man breathe; do not strangle him with expectations he was never built to meet.
