US department of state advices against travelling to 18 states in nigeria

Amidst the controversy surrounding the remark by US president: Donald Trump labelling Nigeria as a “country of particular concern” the US department of states advices against traveling to this 18 states in Nigeria.

Here’s the full list of 18 states in Nigeria advised not to travel to:
- Borno
- Yobe
- Kogi
- Northern Adamawa
- Bauchi
- Gombe
- Kaduna
- Kano
- Katsina
- Sokoto
- Zamfara
- Abia
- Anambra
- Bayelsa
- Delta
- Enugu
- Imo
- Rivers (excluding Port Harcourt)
Even though it is widely acknowledged that the South-West states remain the most secure region in Nigeria, nevertheless, in light of these recent security alerts, the South-West Governors and the people of the region must heighten their vigilance and be more security conscious.
The Governors should ensure that all entry points into the Western states are properly secured, while intensified security checks are maintained both within urban centers and across rural areas and border communities.
